RAX Secure 212-3QR The RAX®212-3QR hard drive enclosure brings ease of use, flexibility, and encryption to direct attached RAID storage with data transfer rates at over 200 MB/s via USB 3.0/2.0, eSATA, and FireWire 800 (backward compatible to FW400) connections. With added 256-bit encrpytion, the RAX212-3QR is ideal for small and medium busineses that care about their sensitive data. Strong AES 256-bit encryption protects your data if the hard drive falls into the wrong hands. CRU encryption is hardware-based and encrypts every sector of the drive including boot sectors, swap space, and temp files. Data is encrypted in real time in the hardware completely independent of the operating system. A physical key is used to encrypt, decrypt, and grant access to the data. This means your important and sensitive data is safe. Sturdy DataPort 10 Secure drive carriers make replacing, swapping, or removing hard drives a breeze, and protect your data even if your drive is lost or stolen. The carriers are tested and verified for over 30,000 insertions. The state-of-the-art hardware RAID controller built into the RAX212-3QR offers RAID 0 (stripe) and RAID 1 (mirror) to provide your choice of combining both drives to create one large virtual disk or use them to create two separate copies of the same data.
