This adapter is backward compatible with previous DisplayPort revisions 1.0/1.1 with support for resolutions up to 1080p. Furthermore, this adapter is perfect for 1080p resolution outputs that are compatible with graphic cards that are not able to output multi-mode DP++ signals.
